Morgellons and Laundry – Part 1
Morgellons…It seems to be everywhere. Researching the topic only brings more questions. No one seems to have a direct answer. No one can tell you exactly what it is. No one has solid proof defining whether it is biological or not. Why are there no answers? Is someone hiding something from us? Is this bio-terrorism? Has a super-bug escaped from entomology headquarters? To be honest, I have no clue…Like many others I do have theories, but with no proof they are no good. I can only rely on hypothesis gathered from in home scientific experiments. Thus far, I have 2 years of at home research on how to kill Morgellons. That being said, I can deduce that Morgellons (at least mine) acts exactly like a parasite! I feel its presence in my clothes, in my bed, in my car, in my house. I don’t feel its presence in other peoples house or cars or clothes. Only my clothes bite me. Only my house makes me crawl. Only my car gives me stinging sensations. No one else’s. Morgellons does not like Sun. Morgellons does not like the day time. Morgellons does not like healthy people. Environmental treatments with chemicals improve symptoms, but are only of temporary use. Windex works, enzymes work, sulfur works, internal treatments work, however nothing really is the silver bullet.
In the past 3 weeks I have seen a large increase of symptoms then a sudden drop off! My crawling, itching, and jumping sensations exponentially increased. I attributed this directly to the testing of new methods to treating my laundry. I was determined to find a new laundering treatment. My old methods just didn’t seem to do much damage. I couldn’t get the crawling, jumping, biting in my clothes to stop. I tried everything. Soaking my clothes in Borax, Vinegar, Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint soap, Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree soap, pesticide soap, ammonia, etc, etc. Nothing really killed Morgellons without ruining my clothes or causing a weird chemical rash on my skin. In short, I could kill the Morgellons, but in turn my clothes were unwearable or unsafe. I knew that if I could successfully eliminate Morgellons from my laundry safely and repeatedly that I could have a really good chance at actually beating this super bug. In the past 3 weeks, after trying various new methods of treating my clothes I finally found a really really good solution! I can successfully wear my clothes more than 2 days in a row and not have a itching or jumping problem. I can successfully leave my newly washed clothes out for a weeks time and not have Morgellons reproduce like crazy in the so called “cleaned” clothes. This method leaves my clothes feeling like a million bucks. My shirts, pants, socks feel and smell really clean. My clothes no longer produce crazy crawling sensations nor do they “bite” me. My clothes feel absolutely like new!
So what’s the solution? Well, 3 easy payments of just $19.99 I’ll tell you everything you want to know! WAIT! I’m kidding. I would never do that to anyone. You and I, both, have suffered enough! As a community, we should be able to toss information to and fro freely so, together, we can develop a healthy solution to beating Morgellons! Without further ado my laundering techniques;
First, get a few plastic bins like so:
Then fill them about half way with water. Add 3 capfuls (about 3 cups) of Pool Perfect Enzyme cleaner. Pool Perfect is a safe, natural, biodegradable ENZYME cleaner made for pools. It is extremely safe and does not have any toxic fumes. “The enzymes literally break down organic waste to basic elements like carbon dioxide and water…” Pool Perfect is cheap and will last a long time. I can’t stress enough how good this works! Do not use too much, it can cause slight fading of colors.
Mix the solution so that the enzyme cleaner dissolves completely in the water. Now add enough clothes so that all clothes are wet. DO NOT ADD too many clothes or potency will be diminished. I usually let my clothes sit in this solution until I am ready to wash them. I would suggest keeping the dirty clothes in the mixture for at least a day to ensure all biological organisms are gobbled up by the enzymes. I usually change the water every 2-3 weeks. It CAN be reused to save money.
Now, when I am ready to wash the laundry I take the soaked clothes from the bin and wring them somewhat “dry”. I place them in the washer and add; 1 cup of Borax, 1 cup of Oxy Clean, a few squirts of Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Soap, and some scent free laundry detergent. I set my washing machine to the longest cycle (2 hours) and let it run.
Once the wash is done, I begin to dry. However, before putting the clothes in the dryer I make sure the dryer is beyond clean. All lint is discarded and then the inside tumbler is sprayed with Windex. I then turn the dryer on (without clothes) for 10 minuets to heat up and kill all Morgellons organisms. I then add all newly cleaned clothes to the dryer and dry for at least 60 minutes.
Without a doubt, in my 2 years of battling this disease, this method is by far the most effective solution to treating my laundry. I can continually wear a set of jeans for 2-3 days symptom free. However, I do notice by the 3rd day that the symptoms start returning. Because of this I know that I do need to step up my internal treatment. I am in the midst of testing different internal treatments to determine which are most effective. I plan to share these soon, so stay tuned…
